Eyes Closed
Coming to Our Community

June 30, 2018

The exhibit is a collection of dreams and stories of our Alaskan diverse children.

Through this exhibition and a colorful book Eyes Closed acknowledges Anchorage’s youngest immigrant population. Through a set of colorful panels displayed throughout Anchorage, Eyes Closed will share stories of 16 students from our diverse population. The panels will be strategically placed around the city, introducing diversity in a symbolic way, and promoting cross-cultural understanding through an artistic form.

Stories of 16 Students From Our Diverse Population.

The project will focus on Anchorage’s underserved children, i.e. Alaska Native, African, South American, Jewish, Hmong, Samoan, Chinese, Japanese, et cetera, who will share their hopes, dreams, and aspirations
