Our Mission
Keys to Life fosters and empowers inclusive communities through arts and rich cross-cultural experiences.
Our Vision
We envision an Alaska with increased awareness of our diversity. We envision a state where voices are empowered through storytelling, music, dance and deepening conversations. We imagine a community where opportunities for meaningful cross-cultural interactions and learning based on our shared human experiences abound. We see a place where individuals are at home in their own cultures within the larger Alaska community, and feel valued, respected, and central to the community’s identity and well-being.
Our Programs
Our programs span the arts and connect our community – from the moving music of the Lullaby Project to compelling storytelling, cultural dialogues, dances and cooking. There’s always an event on the horizon – something you can attend, support with a donation of time or money, or share with your friends.
2022 Culture Camp a Success!
History
Keys to Life was incorporated in 2015. Since then, we have produced dozens of programs that have brought together our diverse community, reaching into every age group, every neighborhood, and every ethnicity. We have highlighted the unspoken dreams of children; we have sponsored collaborations between professional musicians and incarcerated parents; we have foregrounded the arts and cultures of new immigrants; we have led conversations about social justice; we have held culture-based summer camps for children – and more.
