I dedicate my time and volunteer to Keys To Life because I believe in its positive messages and the many ways that the organization shares art with various cultures and elements of our community.
The Hiland Lullaby Project is my favorite because it allows me to express the subject matter through my art. It has given my art a purpose, voice and a face. It makes me believe I belong. A bigger plus: I get to work and share with awesome friends.
Keys to Life brings our/my community together. Time and time again, I have seen how their events work for real people on an individual basis. Initially, I took photos and made movies at their request. Now, I volunteer all the time just to be a part what they do. And. . . Keys to Life welcomes everyone!
I invest my resources in Keys to Life because the return on my investment is: building an inclusive community where everyone is valued and brings their experiences to be shared. It enriches the lives of everyone. Keys to Life offers the programs and means for everyone to be empowered, from the children in the “Eyes Closed” project to the women in the “Lullaby Project” and beyond. Keys to Life inspires and energizes me through the celebrations of meeting people from different cultural backgrounds and being able to share stories and experience.
